About Us
The Muslim Society is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place to develop a deeper meaning to understand Islam, discussing stereotypes whilst making some new friends. Exciting collaborations to immerse those who are seeking knowledge to those who are interested in Islam, to connect deeper with yourself and opportunities to understand what being a Muslim really means.
By collaboration with Muslim Union (University of West of Scotland), we are looking to bring impactful discussions with collaborated events to fundraise for humanitarian causes such as HCl and One Ummah Charity (more to come!).
ONE UMMAH CHARITY is group where events running in Glasgow or near of high-status scholars, speakers etc require volunteers to help throughout.
HCI CANDA is a unique organisation that runs trips for people to see life on the frontline, donate physically and meet those who have lost their loved ones. The Charity Director, Hassan Wadi, loved the idea of our society fundraising for events and partnering to promote on socials/international trips etc.
Who can join?
The Society is optional, and open to anyone who is Muslim or wants to become part of the community. Feel free to come along to our meetings!
Meet the convenor
Convenors are student leaders who set up and organise a society. They are there to encourage members to engage with the meetings and activities that they organise for their society.
What to expect
When you sign up for the Society you will receive information from CitySA about the activities of the society. Society meets and events will also be published on the CitySA Events page with details about what to expect at the meetings, for example there may be a particular activity or theme for each meeting. If you require any further information about coming along to any of the meetings, then please get in touch.
