About Us
Deaf Network offers a warm, safe space just for students who are deaf, hard of hearing, or connected to deafness through family or personal experiences. We get the challenges you might face when hanging out with people who hear, and we're all about building strong, supportive friendships among members.
Who Makes It Happen?
The Deaf Network is something we put together with the learning support team and the student association. Deaf staff members lead it, and it happens every Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. But really, it's driven by you, the students!
Don’t Have a Diagnosis?
All students with hearing loss are welcome here, even without an official diagnosis. We aim to boost your confidence in your deaf identity and help you become more independent in a friendly, supportive setting.
Keen on Learning British Sign Language (BSL)?
Once a month, we will host a BSL night open to anyone interested in learning. It doesn’t matter if you’re starting from scratch or want to improve. Keep an eye on our updates for the specific dates and join us in learning BSL!
